Shadow Initialization Variable
Specifies a shadow folder for a project. This initialization variable is used only in the Srcsafe.ini file. For more about shadow folders, see How to: Create and Maintain Shadow Folders.
Syntax
Shadow = <shadow folder>
Remarks
You can set this variable in the Srcsafe.ini file directly or in Visual SourceSafe Administrator. In Visual SourceSafe Administrator, use the SourceSafe Options dialog box, Shadow Folders tab. If you make your setting here, you will not need to use the Get Latest Version command to initialize the folder.
Examples
sets M:\Masters\Word as a shadow folder for the project $/WORD:
[$/WORD]
Shadow = M:\MASTERS\WORD
