Installation Checklist

Complete the following steps when installing Speech Server.

Step Reference

Verify that your computer meets the Speech Server hardware requirements.

Speech Server Requirements

Verify that you are running the required Windows version for the Speech Server components you want to install.

Install the latest updates for your Windows version.

Verify that you are an administrator on your computer.

Speech Server Requirements

Verify that the required prerequisite software is installed for the Speech Server components you want to install.

Speech Server Requirements

If you plan to deploy a VoIP-based infrastructure that connects to the PSTN, verify that a supported VoIP gateway is installed.

See your third-party VoIP representative.

If you plan to deploy Speech Server using a legacy telephony board, verify that supported telephony interface manager (TIM) software is installed, along with its associated telephony board, and the Speech Server TIMC.

See your third-party TIM representative.

Install Speech Server. If you are installing Speech Server across multiple computers, you can save time by running a silent (unattended) installation.
