UpDownBase.OnTextBoxTextChanged(Object, EventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the TextChanged event.

protected:
 virtual void OnTextBoxTextChanged(System::Object ^ source, EventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnTextBoxTextChanged (object source, EventArgs e);
protected virtual void OnTextBoxTextChanged (object? source, EventArgs e);
abstract member OnTextBoxTextChanged : obj * EventArgs -> unit
override this.OnTextBoxTextChanged : obj * EventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnTextBoxTextChanged (source As Object, e As EventArgs)

Parameters

source
Object

The source of the event.

e
EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnTextBoxTextChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnTextBoxTextChanged(Object, EventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnTextBoxTextChanged(Object, EventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
