Spy displays a list of the windows that are open on a target device. In a separate window, the tool displays the properties for the selected window.
To use Spy from Windows Embedded CE, you must first connect to the target device with Platform Manager. For more information about how to connect a remote tool to a target device with Platform Manager, see Remote Tool Connectivity.
As a read-only utility, Spy does not alter the functionality of any application. However, it can negatively affect the performance of the target device.
