Nell'esempio di codice seguente viene prima verificato che EnablePasswordRetrieval è true, quindi recupera la password per un nome utente specificato e la invia all'indirizzo di posta elettronica per l'utente specificato.

Importante

La restituzione di una password in testo non crittografato tramite posta elettronica non è consigliata per i siti che richiedono un livello elevato di sicurezza. Per i siti con sicurezza elevata, è consigliabile restituire le password usando la crittografia, ad esempio SSL.

Questo esempio include una casella di testo che accetta l'input utente, ovvero una potenziale minaccia di sicurezza. Se EnablePasswordRetrieval è false, il provider di appartenenza sottostante può generare un HttpExceptionoggetto .

I provider inclusi in .NET Framework supportano più formati di password per migliorare la sicurezza delle password. Se il formato della password è impostato su Hashed, gli utenti non potranno recuperare la password esistente dal database. Il Hashed formato password fornisce la codifica unidirezionale dei valori delle password. Le password sono "hash" e confrontate con i valori archiviati nel database per l'autenticazione.
