Represents the chart area of a chart.

Remarks

The chart area includes everything, including the plot area. However, the PlotArea object has its own formatting, so formatting the plot area does not format the chart area.

Use the ChartArea property to return the ChartArea object.

Properties

Application	When used without an object qualifier, this property returns an _Application object that represents the Microsoft Word application. When used with an object qualifier, this property returns an _Application object that represents the creator of the specified object (you can use this property with an OLE Automation object to return the application of that object). Read-only.
AutoScaleFont	Determines if the text in the object changes font size when the object size changes.
Border	Returns the border of the object.
Creator	Returns a 32-bit Integer that indicates the application in which the specified object was created. Read-only.
Fill	Returns a FillFormat object for a specified shape or a ChartFillFormat object for a specified chart that contains fill formatting properties for the shape or chart.
Font	Returns the font attributes (font name, font size, and color) for the chart area of a chart.
Format	Returns the line, fill, and effect formatting for the object. Read-only.
Height	Returns or sets a Double value that represents the height, in points, of the object.
Interior	Returns the interior of the specified object.
Left	Returns or sets a Double value that represents the distance, in points, from the left edge of the object to the left edge of the chart area.
Name	Returns a String value that represents the name of the object.
Parent	Returns the parent for the specified object. Read-only.
Shadow	Returns or sets a Boolean value that determines if the object has a shadow.
Top	Returns or sets a Double value that represents the distance, in points, from the top edge of the object to the top of row 1 (on a worksheet) or the top of the chart area (on a chart).
Width	Returns or sets a Double value that represents the width, in points, of the object.

ClearContents()	Clears the data from a chart but leaves the formatting.
ClearFormats()	Clears the formatting of the object.
