The following applications are necessary to set up a gateway:

  • XLATINST registers the message translation dynamic-link libraries (DLLs) that the gateway needs. For XLATINST specifications, see The XLATINST Application.
  • The SampleGw.ldf extends the Microsoft® Active Directory® schema with the Sample Gateway class and attributes. The LDAP Data Interchange Format Data Exchange (LDIFDE) tool is used to launch this application. For more information about this process, see Using the LDIFDE Tool.
