NAME

SAConfig - Server Appliance Kit 3.0 utility to configure a server appliance when it first starts

SYNOPSIS

SAConfig [-hostname [-restart]] [-adminpass]

DESCRIPTION

The SAConfig utility configures the server, setting the computer name and Administrator password as specified. Typically, the sysprep utility is used to run SAConfig when the server first starts. For more information on using the SAConfig utility, see Customizing Auto Configuration.

The following describes the options for this command.

Option Description
-hostname Sets the computer name of the server. If the server will not be restarted by other means, use this option with -restart to make the name change effective.
-restart Restarts the server. Do not use if sysprep will be restarting the server.
-adminpass Sets the password of the Administrator account. It is not necessary to use the -restart option with the option.
