How to: Repair an Application-Tier Server

If an installation of your application-tier server for Team Foundation becomes corrupted, you might have to repair the installation. In this topic, you will learn how to repair an installation of an application-tier server.

Note

If you repair the application-tier server, you will also repair the data-tier server.

Required Permissions

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the Team Foundation application-tier server and a member of the Team Foundation Administrators group. For more information about permissions, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

To repair an application-tier server

  1. On the application-tier server, click Start, point to Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.

    The Add or Remove Programs window opens.

  2. Click Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team Foundation Server - LOC,and then click Change/Remove.

    The Visual Studio 2008 Team Foundation Server Setup wizard opens.

  3. In the wizard, click Repair or Reinstall, click Next, and then follow the wizard instructions.
