About the Windows Media Services SDK
Microsoft® Windows Media® Services is a next-generation platform for streaming digital media. You can use the Windows Media Services SDK to build custom applications on top of this platform. For example, you can use the SDK to:
- Create a custom user interface to administer Windows Media Services.
- Programmatically control a Windows Media server.
- Programmatically configure the properties of system plug-ins included with Windows Media Services.
- Create your own plug-ins to customize core server functionality.
- Dynamically create and manage server-side playlists.
