Surface Area Configuration for Features (Web Service and HTTP Access) - Reporting Services

[This topic is pre-release documentation and is subject to change in future releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]

You can configure the Report Server Web service to ignore all SOAP requests and URL access requests. Disable HTTP and Web service requests if you do not have client applications that use the Web service, and if you do not require Report Manager, Report Builder, or SQL Server Management Studio for this Reporting Services installation.

Options

  • Enable Web service and URL access
If selected, Reporting Services allows connections using SOAP and URL access.

For more information, see Report Server Web Service and URL Access in SQL Server Books Online.
