How to: Open the Settings and Constraints Editor

The Settings and Constraints Editor is a key feature of the Distributed System Designers that enables configuration of applications and logical servers. Use the following procedure to open the Settings and Constraints Editor.

To open the Settings and Constraints Editor

  • On the View menu, point to Other Windows and choose Settings and Constraints.

    – or –

  • Select an item on the diagram surface, right-click, and choose Settings and Constraints.

    The Settings and Constraints Editor initially appears at the bottom of the Visual Studio integrated development environment and remains empty until you select an application, system, endpoint, logical server, or zone on a diagram.
