Team Foundation Build Commands

Topics in this section describe the purpose of Team Foundation Build commands and provide usage examples. You can use the TFSBuild.exe command-line tool to run builds from the command-line. It is located in <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE on the Team Foundation Server client computer. You can use the wcfhttpconfig.exe command-line tool to reserve or free a secondary port. It is located in <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies on the build computer.

Note

Even if you are logged on with administrative credentials, you must open an elevated Command Prompt to perform this function on a server that is running Windows Server 2008. To open an elevated Command Prompt, click Start, right-click Command Prompt, and click Run as Administrator. For more information, see the Microsoft Web site.
