The Service Factory uses the Enterprise Library Validation Block to implement its DSL validation framework. The Service Factory installer includes a copy of the necessary DLLs, and it will automatically add references to those DLLs.

The Enterprise Library was developed as a result of analyzing common enterprise development challenges and successful solutions to these challenges. However, because each application is unique, you should analyze whether Enterprise Library is suitable for your particular needs. To evaluate Enterprise Library and determine its applicability to your projects, see Enterprise Library 3.1 — May 2007.

Note: If you want to change the names of the DLLs or add additional DLL references, you must customize the Service Factory. For other ways to customize the Service Factory, see the Hands-on Lab: Creating Your Version of the Service Factory.
