Introduction to the Managed ExchangeTreeView Control

Topic Last Modified: 2009-07-24

The Managed Exchange TreeView Control can be used in a managed Windows application to display a hierarchical list of nodes that correspond to a mail or public folder hierarchy. The Managed Exchange TreeView Control can also be used to add, delete, and move folders in the Exchange store. The control uses the WebDAV protocol to communicate with the Exchange store; therefore, it can be implemented in both server and client applications.

Managed Exchange TreeView Control Features

You can use the Managed Exchange TreeView Control features to do the following:

  • Work with multiple virtual directories in the Exchange store. Each virtual root corresponds to a root node in the Managed Exchange TreeView Control.
  • Add, delete, and rename folders.
  • Use the drag-drop functionality to copy and move folders.
  • Expand or collapse folder nodes.
  • Set a display name for a folder in your application that is independent of the Exchange store.
