Font.PreloadText(String) Method (Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D)

Loads formatted text into video memory to improve the efficiency of rendering to a device.

Parameters

text System.String
String of characters to load into video memory.

Remarks

This method does not render text to the device; Font.DrawText must still be called to render the text. However, pre-loading text into video memory causes Font.DrawText to use substantially fewer CPU resources.

The method call is invalid. For example, a method's parameter might contain an invalid value.

InvalidDataException

The data is invalid.
