This method sets or gets the preferred volume on an audio device.

Syntax

HRESULT put_PreferredVolume(
  RTC_AUDIO_DEVICE enDevice,
  long lVolume
);
HRESULT get_PreferredVolume(
  RTC_AUDIO_DEVICE enDevice,
  long* plVolume
);

Parameters

  • enDevice
    [in] An RTC_AUDIO_DEVICE enumeration value specifying the audio media type for the volume.
  • lVolume, plVolume
    [in, out] Current volume setting.

    The valid volume range is 0x0000 to 0xFFFF.

Return Value

This method can return an RTC_E_ constant.

Remarks

The preferred volume value persists for each user even after the application is shut down.
