This method is unsupported in Windows Embedded CE 6.0.

This method sets or gets the value associated with the name of a search term for this query.

Syntax

HRESULT put_SearchTerm(
  BSTR bstrName,
  BSTR bstrValue
);
HRESULT get_SearchTerm(
  BSTR bstrName,
  BSTR* pbstrValue
);

Parameters

  • bstrName
    [in] The name of the search term. Search terms can be any user or profile attributes defined on the server for use with search queries.
  • bstrValue, pbstrValue
    [in, out] The value of the search term. On output, this parameter is a pointer to a BSTR that will be filled with the search term. The method allocates the buffer. The caller is responsible for releasing this memory with SysFreeString.

Return Value

This method can return an RTC_E_ constant. The following table shows additional return values and additional information about a specific return value.

Value Meaning

E_OUTOFMEMORY

Insufficient memory to perform this operation.

E_POINTER

The bstrName or bstrValue parameter is not a valid pointer.

RTC_E_NOT_EXIST

The search term does not exist.
