The Exchange Application Security Module is composed of Microsoft® JScript® files as described in the following table.

| Security.js | Defines the properties and methods for the discretionary access control list (DACL) and entity objects. |
| LoadSaveDacl.js | Defines methods for loading and saving an item's XML security descriptor. |
| CustomLoadSaveDacl.js | Defines methods for loading and saving an item's XML security descriptor for use with browsers other than Microsoft Internet Explorer. |
| Daclstrutil.js | Contains functions to convert a DACL object to XML strings and back to programmatic elements for use with browsers other than Internet Explorer. |
