Wired profile samples

The following topics show sample XML profiles for various wired network configurations. These XML profiles use LAN_profile schema elements and OneX schema elements.

You can add a profile to the profile store using the netsh command-line utility. For more information, see Netsh Commands for Wired Local Area Network (LAN).

Machine Certificate Profile Sample - Win32 apps

Used to connect to a network that uses Extensible Authentication Protocol Transport Level Security (EAP-TLS) certificates stored on the local machine for 802.1X authentication.

A wired network profile contains the following schema elements.

PEAP Profile Sample - Win32 apps

Used to connect to a network that uses Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol with Microsoft Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol version 2 (PEAP-MSCHAPv2) with UserName/Password for 802.1X authentication.

Contains security settings for wired networks.
