FieldName Element for NotificationClass/Schema/ComputedFields/ComputedField (ADF)

Specifies the user-defined name of the computed notification field.

Syntax

<NotificationClasses>
    <NotificationClass>
        ...
        <Schema>
            ...
            <ComputedFields>
                <ComputedField>
                    <FieldName>

Data type

string, between 1 and 128 characters in length.

Default value

None.

Occurrence

Required once per ComputedField element.

Updates

Can be modified, but not added or deleted, when updating the application.

Remarks

Field names can contain letters, numbers, and the special characters _ # @ and $. They must also conform to SQL Server identifier conventions. For more information about SQL Server identifiers, see Identifiers.

If you update a FieldName element, updating the application deletes and re-creates the notification class to which it corresponds. This includes dropping and re-creating the SQL Server tables used by this notification class. Any data existing in the original notification class tables is permanently deleted.
