Remarks

You can use the kilobyte (KB), megabyte (MB), gigabyte (GB), or terabyte (TB) suffix. The default is MB. Specify a whole number; do not include a decimal.

If MaxSize is not specified, the file grows until the disk is full.

Set the maximum log file size to at least 10 MB. Notification Services uses additional log space when you create and update the instance.

For more information, see the max_size parameter in the CREATE DATABASE (Transact-SQL) topic.

If you want to alter the database after creating the instance, use the SQL Server tools, such as SQL Server Management Studio.
