拡張プロバイダーは、他のコンポーネントにプロパティを提供するコンポーネントです。 たとえば、ToolTip コントロールは拡張プロバイダーとして実装されます。 ToolTip コントロールを Form に追加すると、Form の他のすべてのコントロールのプロパティ一覧に ToolTip プロパティが追加されます。

HelpLabel コントロールを作成して拡張プロバイダーを構築する方法を次の例に示します。 ここでは、CanExtend メソッドおよび HelpText プロパティの実装方法が示されています。 CanExtend メソッドは、このプロパティを特定のコントロールに拡張するかどうかを判断するために、Windows フォーム デザイナーによって使用されます。 HelpLabel コントロールは、HelpText プロパティを拡張して、フォーム上のコントロールで使用できるようにします。 コントロールにフォーカスが移ると、コントロールのヘルプ テキストがパネルに表示されます。

このサンプルでは、以下の手法の例を示します。

  • 拡張プロバイダー HelpLabel は IExtenderProvider を実装します。

  • HelpLabel コントロールは ProvidePropertyAttribute を使用して、提供されたプロパティの名前と、プロパティを受け取るコンポーネントの型を指定します。
