How to: Enable Multiple Checkouts

So that members of your team can share files, you will need to enable multiple checkouts as described in this topic. When creating the database for your team, you must have chosen the Copy-Modify-Merge work style. For more information, see Work Styles.

1. In Visual SourceSafe Administrator, on the Tools menu, click Options.

2. In the SourceSafe Options dialog box, click the General tab.

3. Select the Allow multiple checkouts check box.

4. Click OK.
