AutoRecover in the IDE

If you've ever lost your work due to a power failure or a system crash, you know how frustrating it can be to not have a backup copy. Now, with Visual Studio 2005, you can automatically save your work on a regular basis. On the AutoRecover Options dialog, simply choose how often you want to back up your work and how long you want to store the files. If an unexpected shutdown occurs, a Recovered Files dialog box appears and displays the files that are available for recovery. You can also find the files in the Backup Files directory.
