Command Prompt Test Utility

Visual Studio 2005 includes a command prompt test utility, MSTest.exe. This utility allows all types of tests—except manual tests — to be run from a command prompt. In addition, the tool can be used to view test results, save the results to disk, and publish them to the operational store database. Depending on the type of test, test results can be stored as a compiled file or a flat file such as Microsoft Word, XML, or plain text.

To open the Visual Studio 2005 command prompt, click Start, click All Programs, click Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, click Visual Studio Tools, and then click Visual Studio 2005 Command Prompt.
