System Definition Model (SDM) SDK

As a core piece of the Dynamic Systems Initiative (DSI), SDM is the underlying data model for the Distributed System Designers in Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Architects.

Domain-Specific Language (DSL) tools

Leverage the same underlying modeling platform and engine that power the Distributed System Designers with Microsoft’s tools for domain-specific languages. Microsoft’s DSL tools provide a framework and a set of tools for delivering domain-specific visual designers that plug into Visual Studio Team System. These designers could be tools for industry verticals, such as the health care or telecommunications industries or, they could be tools for development across numerous disciplines, such as object-oriented modeling and architecture.
