Microsoft Robotics Studio Sumo Robot Package

Microsoft Releases Robot Sumo Competition for Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.5)

Together with Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.5), Microsoft released the Robot Sumo Simulation for Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.5). This package includes a 3D simulated sumo robot ring, a scoring system and a 3D physics-based model of an iRobot Create robot.

Microsoft Robotics Studio powered the sumo robot competition at Microsoft Mobile & Embedded DevCon (MEDC) 2007 in Las Vegas in May 2007 and in select cities around the world. You can download the Robot Sumo Simulation for Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.5) and either run the contest in simulation against a 3D test robot or stage your own Microsoft Robotics Studio powered robot sumo competition.

In addition to running in a simulated environment, following the Sumo Robot Assembly Instructions you can build an actual sumo robot based on components from ICOPTech, iRobot, Logitech and Robotics Connection.
