UnsafeNativeMethods.Vector3.TransformCoordinate(Vector3,Vector3,Matrix) Method (Microsoft.DirectX)

Transforms a 3-D vector by a given matrix, projecting the result back into w = 1.

Note: For programming in Microsoft Visual Basic .NET or Microsoft JScript .NET, use the equivalent method in the Microsoft.DirectX structures.

Definition

Visual Basic Public Shared Function TransformCoordinate( _
    ByVal pOut As Vector3, _
    ByVal pSource As Vector3, _
    ByVal pSourceMatrix As Matrix _
) As Vector3
C# public static Vector3 TransformCoordinate(
    Vector3 pOut,
    Vector3 pSource,
    Matrix pSourceMatrix
);
C++ public:
static Vector3 TransformCoordinate(
    Vector3 pOut,
    Vector3 pSource,
    Matrix pSourceMatrix
);
JScript public static function TransformCoordinate(
    pOut : Vector3,
    pSource : Vector3,
    pSourceMatrix : Matrix
) : Vector3;

Parameters

pOut Microsoft.DirectX.Vector3
A Vector3 structure that represents the results of the method.
pSource Microsoft.DirectX.Vector3
Source Vector3 structure.
pSourceMatrix Microsoft.DirectX.Matrix
Source Matrix structure.

Return Value

Microsoft.DirectX.Vector3
A Vector3 structure that represents the results of the method.

Remarks

This method transforms the source vector, pSource (x, y, z, 1) by the pSourceMatrix, projecting the result back into w = 1.

The return value for this method is the same value returned in the pOut parameter. This allows you to use the TransformCoordinate method as a parameter for another method.
