Introduction to the Event Sink Wizard

Exchange store events enable you to develop applications that can be triggered by events, such as when an item is saved or deleted, as well as responding to timer and system events.

This wizard creates a Microsoft® Visual Basic® project for a COM class of correctly implemented event interfaces, and a module of functions and routines that use event sink support interfaces.

To provide a security context for your event sink to run out-of-process on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, you must wrap your event sink as a COM+ component application. You then register your event sink using a supplied Visual Basic script, Regevent.vbs.

This section documents all these procedures. The first step is to set up the Event Sink Wizard.
