Gateway to Foreign System Report Transfer

Gateway to Foreign System Report Transfer

This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.

The following steps are performed when the gateway transfers a report to the foreign system:

  1. When a report is created in the foreign system, a foreign report identifier (ID) is assigned.
  2. The gateway stores the foreign report ID in the PR_FOREIGN_REPORT_ID property of the gateway report.
  3. The subject ID of the foreign report is assigned from the PR_FOREIGN_SUBJECT_ID property of the gateway report.
  4. When the report has been transferred to the foreign system, the gateway creates an entry in the accounting and audit log that contains the PR_MTS_REPORT_ID, PR_FOREIGN_REPORT_ID, PR_MTS_SUBJECT_ID, and PR_FOREIGN_SUBJECT_ID properties.

The gateway does not need to save a copy of the report. No further correlation will be required because reports must never generate further reports.
