The following steps are performed when a Microsoft® Exchange server transfers a message to an Exchange client:

  1. A MAPI message is created.
  2. The PR_SEARCH_KEY property is assigned the value of the PR_CONTENT_IDENTIFIER property of the message transfer envelope (MTE).
