Removing a Sample Gateway

  1. Open the Exchange System Manager.
  2. Expand the Connectors node.
  3. Right-click the sample gateway that you want to remove, and click Stop.
  4. After the service stops, right-click the sample gateway that you want to remove, and click Delete.
  5. Locate the mailbox store that contains the mailbox for the deleted sample gateway. To do this, return to the top node of the Exchange System Manager. Expand, in sequence, the Servers node, the node for your Microsoft® Exchange 2000 Server computer, and the First Storage Group node.
  6. Expand the mailbox store, right-click the Mailboxes node, and select Run Cleanup Agent.
  7. Right-click the sample gateway mailbox that you want to delete, and click Purge.
  8. Close and restart the Exchange System Manager.
