About the Version 6.4 Player Control
This section introduces the basics of the Windows Media Player version 6.4 control, which enables you to easily enrich static content with dynamic, interactive functionality. The Windows Media Player control is a Microsoft ActiveX control. You can insert it into applications created with Microsoft Visual Basic® or embed it in Web pages, controlled through Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) or Microsoft JScript®.
To use all of the script commands covered in this section, you must have Windows Media Player version 6.4 installed on your machine.
