How to Log Events to the Local Event Log

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

This topic provides steps for configuring the local event log in Commerce Server Staging (CSS). Commerce Server creates a local event log on the server automatically during installation. By default, CSS stores events in this log. However, you can configure which specific events to store in the local event log.

To log events to the local event log

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and the click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In Microsoft Management Console (MMC), in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, right-click <server name>, and then click Properties.

  3. In the <server name>Properties dialog box, on the Log Settings tab, in the Local event log section, click Select Events.

  4. In the Local Event Store Settings dialog box, select the specific event(s) to log to the local event log, and then click OK.

  5. In the <server name> Properties dialog box, click OK.
