Hardware Detection with Target Analyzer

Target Analyzer detects the hardware on the system, and creates a file that can be used to add the required driver components to your configuration.

In This Section

  • Identify Target Device Hardware
Describes how to identify the hardware on your target system by using Target Analyzer.
  • Detect Hardware Devices with Target Analyzer and Windows PE
Describes how to boot the target device by using Windows PE. This allows you to detect hardware on a device that has no hard drive or operating system, and provides a smaller, more efficient hardware list.
  • Windows Preinstallation Environment
Describes how you can use Windows PE to bring up a device that has no operating system or hard drive, run Target Analyzer to create a device list, format and partition a hard drive with Diskpart, and connect to a network. After an image is installed on the device, you can also use Windows PE to fine-tune the files and registry.
  • Development Process
Describes the overall development process to use to create a run-time image.
