How to Configure CompactPCI Hot Swap Support

You can create a run-time image that supports CompacPCI hot-swap capabilities by adding CompactPCI support components to your configuration.

You add support for CompactPCI during the design phase, while you are creating your configuration by using Target Designer.

To track your progress in the following table, select the check box next to each step.

1. Create your configuration as you would for typical computer-based hardware. See Adding a Component to a Configuration in Windows Embedded Studio for Windows XP Embedded.
2. Add a CompactPCI Hot Swap support component. CompactPCI Hot Swap Support Component Configuration
