Troubleshooting: Cannot Build Run-Time Image That Supports the Kernel Profiler (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

Description

When building a run-time image, during the phase when Romimage.exe runs, an error occurs.

Resolution

In the Config.bib file, increase the size of the primary execute in place (XIP) region.

To support the kernel profiler, profiling symbols are added to the run-time image. Typically, the size of the symbols is at least 2 megabytes (MB). If the symbols do not fit into your primary XIP region, an error occurs when Romimage.exe runs.
