TCP/IPv6 Architectural Model (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

Windows CE .NET 4.1 and later uses a dual-stack architecture to support 32-bit IPv4 addresses and 128-bit IPv6 addresses. The type of destination IP address used determines which TCP/IP stack is used. For more information about the TCP/IP stack, see IPv6 and IPv4 Coexistence and Dual Stack Architecture.

For general information about how TCP/IP fits into the architecture that Windows CE uses for communications, see TCP/IP Architectural Model and Communication Services and Networking.
