This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.
The expected-content-class Field enables you to define the names of expected content classes for items in a particular folder. The list of expected content classes for a folder is information that applications typically use when creating aggregate views of properties for items in that folder. For example, when you issue a WebDAV PROPFIND Method for all properties in a folder (Depth = 1), or you issue a SELECT Statement, the list of properties returned is calculated using the definitions of the folder's expected content classes.
There are two ways to set expected content classes:
For a specified folder
Update the expected-content-class Field for the folder item.
As part of a content class definition
This technique is suitable for defining a folder content class, such as with urn:content-classes:contactfolder, which usually contains items having a content class of urn:content-classes:person.
