Schema Collection Reference

Schema Collection Reference

Objects in the Exchange store define the location of their schema through the Schema Collection Reference (SCR). This property is the schema-collection-ref Field. The SCR is a URL that indicates a folder in the Exchange store. The SCR is the starting location used to search for the schema information of the application.

The SCR can point to the current folder or to another folder that contains schema information. The default starting location is non_ipm_subtree/schema folder unless the SCR is set. The SCR is set through an Exchange Web form registration.

An example of such a URL is http://servername.example.com/public/myschema.

Use the The ##SCHEMAURI## Macro to access the global schema of an application or a public store.

The baseschema Field is a multivalued string that defines the URLs to search for schema information. A multivalued string is different from the SCR because the baseschema property contains all of the locations that are searched. The SCR specifies where to start the search.

Note  Because there is no HTTP proxy between Microsoft® Exchange Server computers, the SCR must point to a folder in the Exchange store where the object exists.
