Microsoft® Exchange Server 2003 is a messaging and collaboration platform that provides e-mail, scheduling, online forms, and tools for custom messaging and collaborative applications. Exchange Server 2003 includes support for XML, WebDAV, ASP, and more.

Data access technologies, such as OLE DB and Microsoft ActiveX® Data Objects (ADO) allow developers to use their existing skills to build custom applications for Exchange Server 2003. Custom applications can be built with development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio®, Microsoft FrontPage® 2000, and Microsoft Office, Developer Edition.
