Toolbar Buttons
On Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs, common actions should be accessed only through toolbar buttons on the menu bar if space is available on the menu bar.
Consider the following when you include toolbar buttons in an application:
- To avoid user confusion, toolbar buttons with text labels should be grouped to the left of toolbar buttons with iconic labels.
- Provide ScreenTips, and limit them to one or two words.
- Use iconic toolbar buttons to conserve space. Icons are especially useful for commands that are common to multiple applications.
