Remarks

When a SOAP message sender requests a security token from a security token service, the service may accept security token requests that contain an <Entropy> XML element. The <Entropy> XML element specifies a value, known as the entropy value, which is used to create the key associated with the security token. If the entropy value is encrypted, it is contained in an <EncryptedKey> element, which is represented by the EncryptedKey property. If the entropy value is not encrypted, it is placed in a <BinarySecret> child element, which is represented by the BinarySecret property. If the unencrypted entropy value is placed in a <BinarySecret> child element, the transport or channel used to make the security token request should be encrypted using SSL or another mechanism.
