IAMNetShowExProps::GetCodecDescription

The GetCodecDescription method retrieves a user-friendly description of a specified codec.

Syntax

  HRESULT GetCodecDescription(
  long  CodecNum,
  BSTR *pbstrCodecDescription
);

Parameters

CodecNum

Specifies the codec to query, indexed from zero. Call get_CodecCount to obtain the number of codecs.

pbstrCodecDescription

Pointer to a variable that receives the description.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, it returns S_OK. If it fails, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Remarks

The caller must release the returned BSTR, by calling SysFreeString.
