Welcome to the Microsoft® Windows® Software Development Kit (SDK).
The Windows SDK includes content for the Application Programming Interfaces (API)s in Windows, including the Microsoft® .NET Framework 3.5, Microsoft® .NET Framework 3.0, .NET Framework 2.0, Windows® Presentation Foundation, Windows® Communications Foundation, and Windows® Workflow Foundation.
For information about supported platforms, installation instructions, and known issues, see the ReleaseNotes.htm file installed on your local drive.
Using the Windows SDK Documentation
The documentation contains API reference topics and feature overviews for the programming elements available in Windows. To locate the topics you need, you can use Search, Index, the Table of Contents, or the navigational topics in the documentation viewer. You can browse API reference topics using the hierarchy in the Table of Contents. If you do not want to see all the documentation, you can use the Filtered by drop-down box to select a subset.
