MCIWNDM_NEW

The MCIWNDM_NEW message creates a new file for the current MCI device. You can send this message explicitly or by using the MCIWndNew macro.

Parameters

lp

Pointer to a buffer containing the name of the MCI device that will use the file.

Return Values

Returns zero if successful or an error otherwise.

**  Windows 95/98/Me:** Included in Windows 95 and later.
**  Header:** Declared in Vfw.h.
**  Unicode:** Declared as Unicode and ANSI messages.
