XAML Values

  • fontFamilyValue
    A string representation of a FontFamily value, possibly including fallback values or indexes within a font file, or a URI where the font family is packaged. For more information on the syntax, see FontFamily.

Property Value

Type: System.Windows.Media.FontFamily
The font used to display text in the control. The default is the "Portable User Interface".

Remarks

Dependency property identifier field: FontFamilyProperty

"Portable User Interface" is a composite font that uses a number of fonts to implement the range of international languages supported by Silverlight, including for example "Lucida Sans Unicode" and "Lucida Grande" for many western writing systems, and many more for East Asian writing systems.
