Upgrade from Team Foundation Server Trial Edition

To upgrade to the full edition of Visual Studio Team Foundation Server from Team Foundation Server Trial Edition, you must have a valid product key for Team Foundation Server. For more information about Team Foundation Server upgrades, see Team Foundation Server Upgrade Types.

Important

During the upgrade, you must provide a product key. If you acquired Team Foundation Server through a volume licensing program, you can locate this key on your Volume License medium (CD, DVD, or .iso image). Required Permissions

To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Administrators security group on the application-tier server for Team Foundation and a member of the Team Foundation Administrators group.
