This glossary defines key terms that are used in the Visual Studio Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Help.

  • on-chip performance counters
    Registers on a given CPU chip that store very low-level information. This information can be queried. "Performance counter" is frequently confused with "perfmon." These counters are completely different.

  • ordered tests
    Test transactions that run a set of tests in a defined order and can fail if any single contained test fails.
